Contains mostly research and writings for Harlan's books on John Henry Nash, David Hall & William Strahan, and William Doxey.
Also includes several copies of various articles, keepsakes, book reviews, and interviews by Dr. Harlan concerning Anton Roman,
George Labon Harding, Paul Elder, Helen Haines, the Colonial Printer, etc.
Box 3 contains ephemera from several printers and publishers such as Grabhorn Press, Arion Press, UC Berkeley Library, and
Andrew Hoyem. Also contains transcripts of interviews with Andrew Hoyem and Peter Koch, lithographic portraits of John Henry
Nash, bibliographies of Nash collections held by Joseph FauntLeRoy, and Norman Strouse, and miscellany. Carton 4 and 5 mostly
contain his cataloging record worksheets of California imprints with small photocopies of the finished catalog card attached
to each one. Worksheets are arranged alphabetically. Carton 5 also contains a University of California library catalog listing
of John Henry Nash ephemera holdings.
